|Navy, lime and blue rainbow chevron earrings|
Chevrons of many colours make up the body of these earrings. As always the beads used in this are of exquisite quality, and the earwires are sterling silver.|
The technique I use when making these earrings is not loomwork it's a handweaving technique called brick stitch. This adds to the individuality of each piece and also makes the beadwork really flexible. They hang beautifully when worn. For more information on brick stitch, please click here.
The glass seed beads are of Japanese and Czech origin therefore are top quality. Each individual seed bead is about 2mm in diameter.
The total length of the earrings from top of the loop to bottom of the longest middle fringe is 6.5cm. The fringe on this frames the face beautifully and moves amazingly.
The colours I have used in the design are deep navy blue, opaque beads along with blue iridescent beads wich have been fire polished so the surface reflects many colours all at once. I have also used opaque, lime green beads in this to pick out the greeny tones in the iridescent beads. The fringe is finished of with some bugle beads, which are also iridescent and gives an almost titanium look to the beads. This bead is also used in the main body of the earring.
The total length of the earrings from top of the loop to bottom of the longest middle fringe is 6cm. The fringe on this frames the face beautifully and moves amazingly.
Each pair of earrings takes about 2 hours to make.
