|Three Red Roses Choker||
Three, red roses in full bloom ensure this choker's understated elegance.
This exquisite necklace is a happy design accident! Whilst attempting to follow a pattern from a very old, and confusing beading book I got lost. When I realised my mistake, I decided my way looked better and continued with the new design.
The main colour used in this necklace is matt, black seed beads. The roses are worked with silver lined, red seed beads. The centres of each rose is picked out with an amethyst, rainbow, firepolished seed bead. The foliage on either side of each rose is made with matt, forest green seed beads.
The three roses on the necklace are spaced out to lie one in the middle of the throat and one either side of the neck.
This necklace took nearly 2 hours to complete.
To close the necklace I have used a traditional bead and loop closure. I love this fastening as it is very secure, looks fantastic and is great for people with allergies to even precious metals. The beads used here are 2 snowflake obsidian gemstones.
This necklace looks best when worn at choker length. There are however, two different length settings. The shortest setting is a little under 14.5 inches and the longer setting is a little over 15 inches.
All of the beads used in this necklace are of the highest quality. I always use very strong beading thread and reinforce all fastenings.
